If you're looking to get your kids off of screens this summer and into something engaging, strategic, creative and analog, we've got the answer!
Board Games have come a long way from the days of Monopoly, Risk and other “classics” everyone owns. The scope and variety of modern board games are nearly endless!
We'll introduce your kids to the wonderful world of modern tabletop gaming by focusing on a new genre or mechanic each day — from Worker Placement and Drafting to Deck Building, Set Collection, Cooperative Strategy and more!

In this 3-day workshop, we’ll cover how to get started, core tools and techniques, and how to keep on growing and improving. You'll leave the camp with your very own miniature that YOU painted, and (hopefully) a new-found interest in a fantastic hobby!
Miniature painting has many benefits, including stress relief, artistic expression, and the satisfaction of seeing your work come to life. And it's also a great way to give your brain a screen-break!

MONDAY: Character creation deep-dive
What’s the cool-factor for each species and class (including why Rangers don’t suck) — Wizard, Warlock, Sorcerer, what’s the difference? — Adding flavor with character origin, backstory and party connections.
TUESDAY: Dungeon Cartography 101
Learning the language of D&D mapmaking — fundamentals & functions — step-by-step drawing techniques.
WED: Making Monsters!
A safe way to be scary (and maybe a little scared) — how to read monster stats in D&D, and what makes monsters different/special— Xenoanthropology: the different “genres” of monsters in the realms — taking your wild ideas and bringing them to “life”.
THU: Getting Creative in Combat
Actions, bonus actions, reactions, oh my! — how knowing your character can open up gameplay possibilities — Working together can turn the tide of battle — We’ll use the characters, monsters, and dungeons generated in the first three days to run battle simulations.
FRI: Battle Royale!
A series of skirmishes using the materials and learnings from the week — free-for-all, team battle, capture the flag’n, base control — however many we have time for.
